A Refraction of You…
Today is a tough day for me.
I’m having a hard time toning down seeing
the things about you that are amazing and magnificent
and accepting that we do not share that vision.
It’s always been a struggle.
My Life’s work… my mission… has been to somehow
put into words what I see in you;
the beauty of a Being created beyond belief; literally.
Because if you believed it,
you would not allow yourself to live as you do…
you could not.
Instead, the mirror that you look into is broken
- glued together from the fragments of failures and pieces of the past.
This is what you see as your Life,
and it is the life that you feel compelled to live into.
Yet through it all, may we discover through the shards
a refraction of countless rainbows and endless beauty;
for I have yet to see perfection without pain,
nor dreams come to life before sleep.
