Before
I get started, a piece of advice:
" Do not leave
your computer unattended
without saving your work first. "
As I was finishing what I believe was a very worthwhile piece,
I went into the kitchen to get a glass of Limeade to kick
my brain back into an energized & alert mode.
Instead, I nodded off on the couch for about half an hour !
When I came back to the computer, I could see my wallpaper.
Ever get that sinking feeling when you lose something
that you know you'll never get back ?
Yeah, it's like that...
Everything I had been working on for 2 hours - gone.
So, here are 2 things I want you to remember -
the only 2 things I remember for certain from last night.
"
Attack that which you fear
and the death of fear is certain. "
and
also
"
Do that which you fear the most
and it will one day become
your greatest strength. "
I will start over tonight - and keep in mind that
those two quotes above have made a TREMENDOUS
difference in how I have lived my Life the past few years.
to
be continued...
AND I'm back again !
:)
For those of you late to the party,
I'll bet you didn't even know I was gone !
Now, back on task.
Anyone that knew me prior to, oh let's say 2002
wouldn't think that this fortune was for me.
The rest of you - well you may not think so either !
And I couldn't agree more with you -
EXCEPT
there is strong evidence to suggest otherwise.
I won't bore you with too many details -
it's already 1:30 in the morning.
Let's just start from the standpoint that I've been
dreadfully fearful of the human race most of my Life.
So it makes complete sense that my passion & purpose
has always been to help people & make a difference.
Yeah - crazy, I know !
So, about these "Adventurous ways".
A few that come to mind are:
Moving halfway across the country to Washington on a whim and a prayer.
Joining Toastmasters, which forced me to stand in front of
afforementioned feared humans and actually talk in front of them.
Developing a business venture that dealt primarily
with the interaction of scary humans.
Even karaoke !
And why ?
Because I don't want to settle for a Life
that is limited by my "personality" or by
what I think I'm capable of doing or being...
And I don't think you should either.
