Looking at the past brings you more of the same

I often think when people look in the mirror,
it’s more like the rear view mirror in a car.
They’re always looking at what’s behind them.
In Life, the same. The things we’ve done,
that have happened – past experiences
(and ALL experiences are PASSED) – everything

Sometimes It Takes a Tragedy…

Sometimes it takes a tragedy to cause us
to take hold of our lives and create triumph.

From the rumble of toppled buildings
to crushed & shattered dreams and hopes;
where we go from here all starts at a beginning.

Do we rebuild from rubble with the same anger,
greed, hate and self centered agenda that brought

It’s dark out and I’m driving with my
son across the 205 bridge from
Portland to Vancouver. Actually,
I’m doing all the driving – his legs
are too short to reach the pedals
and he doesn’t have a license yet.
