What If You Went Full Out?

going-full-out-350w

Shortly after we sat down on the plane I could feel it, and I knew I had
about a minute before my nice white shirt would soon be splattered red.
Nosebleed. Great. I didn’t plan for that. No napkins, no tissue… No time.… —-> Continue…

Always a Rainbow…

“Always a rainbow”.
It’s one of my favorite things to say.
Still, let’s be clear; the tragedies
and tears are not out of sight;
I am not deaf to the cries of
those who have suffered loss.
Yet we have before us the opportunity of a lifetime;
a chance to look at what we might create
within a life that has been made unrutted.… —-> Continue…

What do you have to fear?

face-your-fears-350
I remember I had bought
candy bars for the other kids
in class the day they had the
school dance back in grade school.

I left the candy bars on their desks,

I hid under a desk – afraid to go into

I haven’t seen the movie in 7+ years)

To which my mind echoed back this,
and it’s been haunting me ever since:

“I see great people,
only they don’t know they’re great…”

It took me a week to write this piece
because I don’t know how to convince
someone who doesn’t already know it.… —-> Continue…

Christmas… shoes and Spirit

Whenever I used to call
someone on the phone
I would ask them;
“Is this a good
time to call ?”
or “Did I catch you
at a good time ?”

Now – I’m not exactly on the phone with you, but still…
Did I catch you at a good time ?… —-> Continue…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

It’s that time of year again where they play all those songs
that are supposed to put us in the Christmas Spirit.

Among these songs is a more recent one called
“The Christmas Shoes”.
I get a lump in my throat whenever I hear this song
- even more when I’m driving at night alone.… —-> Continue…
