Just what the doctor ordered; to die or deviate?

The news came tonight that Dad’s latest chemo treatment
will be taking away his hair, so he got a buzz cut yesterday.

It is… absolutely baffling as it is infuriating that the
majority of people accept their doctor’s standard
protocol for “curing” cancer as THE best course of action.
My Dad has beat the 6 month predicted death sentence -
I believe in spite of the chosen regiments of chemicals -
because he’s just plain stubborn.
Yet he has chosen the modern mayhem medicine approach
because it’s the best that was offered to them
by local trusted physicians.
The “best” based on a limited and controlled set of options
created out of a system that can only survive
by prolonging cancer – not curing it.
And so strong is this belief and trust in marketed medicine
and failure fed doctors that he would rather put his Life
into their hands than take control of his own Life and
stand up for what HE can do to save his own Life.

I’ve stayed quiet on this topic for too long.
And yes, I’m sure this might offend those who think
their doctor is God and can heal with their
prescription pad and divine advice.
But as with many areas of Life where the vast majority
have merely listened to and accepted the information
poured out from the mainstream, doctors themselves
are taught and pressured not to deviate from a narrow
array of approved treatments for cancer.
So… most people won’t hear anything except what
the doctor tells them are effective therapies.
And because most people – especially those older than 30 -
still seem to trust the average doctor, they have no cause to
think anything but the best advice & treatment is being given them.

Makes me want to pull my hair out!

Yet what has me exceptionally upset
is that I have an attachment to this subject.

If I didn’t care or had no personal cause,
I’d be far less frustrated with people making
underinformed and misinformed choices.
I’d be more like the average apathetic & figure the
“doctor knows best” mantra is good enough -
no reason to get involved.
It’s a personal choice, after all – and we should respect that.
Right?

Well, I guess I just care too much
about the loved ones in my Life.

If that is a crime or somehow wrong,
then I am guilty as charged…
