I have found this to be
great wisdom and advice,
and also used quite a
bit as a justification.

Similarly when we hear
that we should keep a
healthy balance in our Life -
what is missing in these sage
bits of understanding is the knowing

It’s that time of year again where they play all those songs
that are supposed to put us in the Christmas Spirit.

Among these songs is a more recent one called
“The Christmas Shoes”.
I get a lump in my throat whenever I hear this song

I’m at the Salvation Army thrift store
standing in line to purchase a small
dresser I’d found to help organize
what is my clothing chaos.

And I see him.
If one were to judge him by appearance,
they might say he had run out of luck
long ago and spent much time amongst the
